The Blewett Fellowship was established from a generous bequest from M. Hildred Blewett, an accelerator physicist who died in 2004. Hildred Blewett was passionate about physics and wanted to help women overcome obstacles by establishing the fellowship. Back to top.3. L'Oreal USA Announces Recipients of 2012 For Women In Science Fellowships

L'Oreal USA today announced the recipients of the 2012 L'Oreal USA Fellowships For Women In Science. The L'Oreal USA program is a national initiative that annually recognizes and rewards five U.S.-based women researchers early in their careers. Recipients each receive up to $60,000 towards their postdoctoral research.

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) will host a workshop entitled "The Interstellar Medium in High Redshift Galaxies Comes of Age" in Charlottesville, Virginia, 13-15 September 2012. The venue is the NRAO Headquarters, conveniently located on the grounds of the University of Virginia.
